Bremerton, WA-based alt-country band TUMBLEDOWNwill premiere the video for their new single, “Great Big World,” from their sophomore album, EMPTY BOTTLE, today, Fat Tuesday (“Mardi Gras”), February 21, on their official website, starting at 9 a.m. PST/12 p.m. EST.

TUMBLEDOWN‘s frontman and guitarist, Mike Herrera (MxPx) describes the second single as, “A song that came from our animated live set and a tribute to the good times at the places we’ve been lucky to travel to.”

The video was directed by Chris Crary, whom Herrera worked with on the band’s most recent video, “Arrested In El Paso Blues,” and most notably with MxPx’s “Gimme Christmas” video. The performance part of the video was shot in Bremerton, but the remaining footage was taken on the road. It was produced by Crary and Herrera.

TUMBLEDOWN‘s music takes that sepia-tinged image of Americana and sends it hurtling into the present, with the help of some punk-inflected riffs and pure rock ‘n’ roll attitude. EMPTY BOTTLE, the band’s second release through Austin, Texas, indie label End Sounds, is proving to be a defining album for TUMBLEDOWN, a follow-up to their self-titled album released in 2009.

The band is wrapping up their current West Coast tour. For a list of remaining tour dates, please visit www.tumbledownhq.com.
